What We Offer
If we review your book and believe we can sell it internationally, then for a one-time flat fee, we will actively pitch your book to publishers and literary agents outside the USA for one year. We will include your book in our foreign rights catalog and tell our international partners about it. Our fee of $750 is deductible from our future commissions. That means we will not deduct our agency’s commission from your advances on your foreign contracts until/unless the sum of our commissions is greater than the international promotion fee you paid.
How It Works
- Application: Fill out the form below to get started.
- Approval: If approved, you’ll sign an agreement confirming your legal right to sell the translation rights of your book. Check the first three paragraphs of your publishing contract under “Grant” or “Grant of Rights” to verify this.
- Submission: Provide us with an edited, finished digital copy of your manuscript (Word or PDF), your current cover, and your ISBN number.
- Promotion: We will promote your book to hundreds of foreign publishers and agents over the next 12 months, including at major book fairs like Frankfurt and London.
- Contracts: Every time an offer is made, we will notify you immediately, negotiate the contract on your behalf, and arrange for your signature. No contract is valid without your signature.
- Commissions: Our commission is the industry standard of 20%.

Important Notes
- We only handle nonfiction books written for adults.
- International publishers usually send statements and/or payments around December 31 each year.
- The term of the licensing contracts are always 5 years. Then, the publisher must stop selling your book or pay more to continue.

3. IF we believe that your book is likely to have foreign translation potential, then we will offer you a limited representation agreement. If you have a US agent, they might be glad for the help. So might your publisher. We can address that separately before we begin.
