Enact Successful Change

Change can be challenging—some resist it, others embrace it. Explore the neuroscience behind change, and learn how to activate your brain’s reinforcement system to drive lasting motivation, meaningful transformation, and continuous growth.

Change can be difficult. Some people are resistant to organizational change whereas others jump in with both feet. Discover the neuroscience behind change resistance, change acceptance, and how you can use brain science to initiate meaningful change. A key component to successfully managing change and growth is reinforcement, and we’ll discuss ways to tap into your brain’s reinforcement network to make change happen, stay motivated, and engage in continuous growth.

In this session, we will cover:

  • How to identify who is change resistant and who looks forward to change.
  • The role of risk-taking and sensation-seeking status on how people perceive change.

  • Specific words to use to make a person’s brain more receptive to change.
  • How to present change in a way that is easily digestible to your audience’s brains.
  • The dangers of using language that triggers a person’s brain to shut down and be closed off to change.

Become a Power Thinker

Most of the time, our brains run on autopilot, limiting growth and insight. This program teaches you to become a “power thinker” — boosting innovation, spotting opportunities early, and gaining a competitive edge.

Most of the time, our brains are running on autopilot. We don’t pay attention to our own ways of thinking. A brain on autopilot causes its owner to miss opportunities, fail to notice important things, stop growing, bypass insights, and fail at creative problem solving.

In this program, audience members will discover how to become “power thinkers”. That means thinking innovatively and making crucial connections that others miss, fully using their brains to their own and others’ advantages, and spotting opportunities far ahead of the crowd. In this competitive business environment, being a power thinker gives a critical advantage over the  competitor.

In this session, we will cover:

  • How to spark your brain with power thinking
  • Why your brain needs time to wander
  • How to train your brain to stay focused on thinking about immediate goals
  • The Top Ten best thinking habits for lifelong success
  • How to cultivate a culture of power thinking in your company

In this lively session, audiences will discover how to focus their brains on generating positively charged emotions and pleasant social interactions so that they get the most out of their business relationships.

In this session, we will cover:

  • How to balance your brain’s hot and cold networks to maintain emotional control in challenging situations.
  • How to train your brain to inhibit awkward, snappish and/or untimely responses in meetings and emails.
  • When to use emotion in business situations and when to avoid it.
  • How to engage with others in a way that triggers the other person’s brain to trust you.
  • How first impressions can handicap us for future interactions and what to do about it.
  • Using neuroscience to persuade others – without turning them off.
  • How to use your brain to build and maintain positive working relationships.
